My Queendom for a Laptop
Well, since I live by the beach, there’s been many times I’ve wanted to go down there with a notebook computer.
At first I was confused. Just what is the difference between a laptop and a notebook? Well, a notebook is usually thinner, but it’s also generally bigger. I assume that means a bigger screen. However, as a woman, I love the thinner aspect of it.
Either way, I’d love to have either one. I’m quickly running out of room on my desktop and let’s face it, it’s just not portable. In today’s technological world, everything is portable.
But then again, I also want a digital camcorder. Oh the things I could do with that (uh, kindly get your minds out of the gutter please.)
My rebate government stimulus check is already spent before it even gets here…pesky bills. And my credit is in the mentally challenged IQ range. So I don’t see myself getting either any time soon.
So once again, all donations are welcome. Help lala write her blog from the comfort of an umbrella covered beach chair. Please?
I’ll make you a deal, anyone who wants to buy me a laptop, can visit me for the weekend. What’s better than a weekend in Paradise (some restrictions may apply, see as of yet to be written the official rules)
I’m a bit annoyed with you.(chuckle).Because when I read the line,”However,as a woman,I love the thinner aspect of it,” I really laughed. And as I just got out of hospital today, you made my stitches nearly burst. The idea of having a thinner aspect(of myself) has great appeal.LOL. Good luck in your pursuits.
The down side of a laptop is the carpal tunnel syndrome from the trackpad. But it’s awfully nice to be mobile. Especially when you are your kid’s chauffeur.

Thanks for the offer of staying over for a weekend, but I also like to warn you of down sides of a laptop. They break easily and you can’t just replace a part like you can do-it-yourself with a desktop. And then often you cannot even find the part anymore because within a year or so the models all get updated, etc.
Go for the digital camera, girl, and show us some pictures of that beach next to your house!

Oooops, sorry it took me so long to get back to you guys. I understand that laptops are “delicate.” honestly, I’d still do most of my work on my desktop, but it would be nice to have a little laptop for writing that I can tote to the beach or a restaurant or even just out to my balcony.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, y’all!
lala;-)
I just went through the whole laptop v. desktop dilemma and came home with a laptop. So I hear ya. Convenience is a nice thing. Of course, whipping out the laptop on the beach would be even better! Just watch out for the sand.
I’ll see what I can do about donations or popping up on your door step with a laptop.
P.S. You know someone will take you up on that offer and you will have an over-extended stay guest one of these days. heh.
