Too Many Memories

May12

Mother’s Day was difficult this year. All my children live out of state, and it’s the first one since Momma passed.

I did speak with each child — adults, now, and that helped. My grandson took his first steps, and my daughter caught them on video. Thank the Universe for today’s technology, because she was able to upload them and share.

I made the mistake of going through a couple of photo albums my Momma had — I felt a need to connect, and the memories piled up like too many photos on a sd memory card. I miss her, and I can’t foresee a day when I won’t.

Tears are cleansing, right? Then I should be squeaky clean right about now.

I’m sorry you had a difficult mother’s day. Hopefully, each one will get a little easier.

Thanks, Mother. You think you’re prepared, but you never are.

I hope you found some peace and quiet for your day. :)

Welcome to Over Forty and Loving It! We’re just getting started, but we’re bringing women over forty the information they need and want. With our hormones deserting us, our kids leaving the house, we believe women should look forward to this stage of their lives. It’s not always pretty, not always easy, but we feel if you just keep an open mind, along with a wicked sense of humor, it can be fun.

You might be wondering, who are we? We’re two old friends who have nearly a hundred years of experience between us. We’ve both worked as nurses, as writers, love music and enjoy traveling whenever possible.  We know the joys and devastation of relationships. So here we are! Enjoy!
