Another Move, Lawd Lawd

January14

Well, it looks like another move is in my near future, and that does not make me happy. I’ve been a bit of a nomad since Momma was ill, and even more so when she passed. I don’t have the resiliency of youth, but I do have the years of experience, so maybe it’s a wash.

I have found with each move that I hang on to less and less…crap. It’s not like i have fancy modern sofas to move, or boxes in the attic. Some books, clothes, small pieces of furniture…and actually, it’s a liberating feeling. I can pretty much pick up and go without a lot of hassle.

But to be honest, I wouldn’t mind planting my butt for a few years. Maybe this move will be the charm.

This past July I sold my house and 90% of my possessions and took up full-time house sitting. For now I like the nomad lifestyle and I’m looking forward to seeing where it takes me. I suspect that at some time I’ll stop feeling liberated and, like you, start wanting a place to plant my butt. I hope this move will bring that to you!

Thanks, kiddo :) On one hand, it’s fun. On the other, past a certain point and it’s wearing. I’m looking forward to a good butt planting at this poing, tbh. Good on you for having the courage to let it rip!

Welcome to Over Forty and Loving It! We’re just getting started, but we’re bringing women over forty the information they need and want. With our hormones deserting us, our kids leaving the house, we believe women should look forward to this stage of their lives. It’s not always pretty, not always easy, but we feel if you just keep an open mind, along with a wicked sense of humor, it can be fun.

You might be wondering, who are we? We’re two old friends who have nearly a hundred years of experience between us. We’ve both worked as nurses, as writers, love music and enjoy traveling whenever possible.  We know the joys and devastation of relationships. So here we are! Enjoy!
