“A Wake For An American Icon”

I’m not armed with statistics or documentation regarding our changing landscape and the ownership of our landscape, but instinctively I know I should be terrified. I just have this gut feeling that the percentage of foreign owned assets in this country is staggering. Conversely, I wonder how much we *own* overseas? And what isn’t being gobbled up by outside interests, I watch in horror as we abuse our own land and resources and the mansionization of properties after perfectly fine homes are razed.

BTW, St. Louis is a nifty town. It’s simply breathtaking to drive cross country and pass through this Gateway City. For its relative newness it’s a revered landmark. It nearly became iconic upon finished construction!

Welcome to Over Forty and Loving It! We’re just getting started, but we’re bringing women over forty the information they need and want. With our hormones deserting us, our kids leaving the house, we believe women should look forward to this stage of their lives. It’s not always pretty, not always easy, but we feel if you just keep an open mind, along with a wicked sense of humor, it can be fun.

You might be wondering, who are we? We’re two old friends who have nearly a hundred years of experience between us. We’ve both worked as nurses, as writers, love music and enjoy traveling whenever possible.  We know the joys and devastation of relationships. So here we are! Enjoy!
